SIPs homes at Hartdene Barns

Sips Eco has been working in partnership with developer Q New Homes and architects Nissen Richards to create 9 impressive Net Zero SIP homes at Hartdene Barns in the Weald of Kent.

9 Net Zero SIP homes built at Hartdene Barns in Kent using Sips Eco Panels.

Beautiful barn style Sips homes

Hartdene Barns is a development of nine carbon net zero, super energy-efficient and highly-sustainable luxury barn style new-build Sips homes, on the 40-acre site of a former dairy farm.

Set within an ANOB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) these homes have been built using the award-winning Sips Eco structural insulated panel system.

Each home will produce as much energy as it consumes using renewable energy technologies such as solar panels, air-source heat pumps and MVHR systems.  Sustainable in construction and ongoing energy consumption, these homes will reduce the carbon footprint of the lucky residents.

Designed by architects Nissen Richards Studio to meet the exacting standards set by the RIBA Climate Challenge, these homes will provide sustainability, energy efficiency and luxury living.

The developer Q New Homes has been working closely with the team at Sips Eco and other experts to ensure that the new Sips homes will meet all the sustainability targets set for the development.

Experts believe that these eco homes are setting new standards and will be at least 10-years ahead of the majority of new build homes in the UK.

Our director Matt Banks said:

“These new Sips homes are truly stunning. The Hartdene Barns project has been technically challenging but SAP ratings above 100 helps ensure that each new home obtains “NET ZERO CARBON” status and achieves minimal operational costs for the homeowners.  Great credit must go to Damien and Michael at Q New Homes for their vision and dedication.”

Each property has been built using the highest quality materials.  Vaulted ceilings, cantilevered staircases and crittall doors help flood rooms with natural light.  With bespoke joinery throughout, bioethanol fireplaces add warmth and charred timber cladding exteriors truly set the scene as you arrive.

Another excellent element of this development is the creation of private allotments for each home set back on the surrounding land.  Homeowners will have the opportunity to have organic produce all year round.  Geared to feeding a family of four with fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs grown on site and delivered to your door.  This development helps encourage a healthier lifestyle and reduce reliance on commercial food supplies, thus cutting down on transportation emissions and packaging waste.
