TfL Kingston Cromwell Bus Station Redevelopment
Sips Eco has been working in partnership with the project contractor Volker Fitzpatrick, the Royal Borough of Kingston and TfL on the redevelopment of the Kingston Cromwell Road Bus Station.
The state-of-the-art redesign and upgrade of the station facilities combines contemporary style with the very latest SIPs Eco structural insulated panel technology.
The upgraded station will be significantly more energy efficient – we have manufactured and supplied the new energy-efficient bus station buildings using our award-winning Sips Eco structural insulated panel system.
Transport for London (TfL) is also adding a green canopy over the waiting area, solar panels, improved LED lighting as well as new CCTV and PA systems. The development will also include a wider passenger island with more space for customers waiting for buses and moving around the bus station, as well as resurfaced pavements and improved drainage, including a sustainable urban drainage system.
Our director Matt Banks said:
“With improved safety, accessibility and energy efficiency the redevelopment of the Kingston Cromwell Road bus station has been a great project for the team at Sips Eco to work on. We’re really excited to watch how the upgraded station supports the growth in customers journeying through the station in years to come.”
